• ROLES

With a House in mind, in Animus, there are two roles you can apply for.

Animus will expect all roleplayers to stay true to their roles for the writing experience to be as realistic as possible for all the members. For example, Professors should at least demonstrate a fair knowledge in the subjects they teach and
Students are expected to be self-aware of their own behaviour especially when speaking to people of authoritative positions (Headmaster, Professors, etc).

• ROLES EXPLAINED

Additionally, there are roles and responsibilities both students and professors could take up if they would like to do a part in helping the headmaster to keep the school running in check.

As Professors, they can apply to be the head of the House they had been sorted in from before.

A Head of House is charged with monitoring and maintaining the welfare, safety, and discipline of all members of their designated house, as well as corresponding with the parents of said students whenever necessary. Are you ready to devote yourself as the Head of House and lead not just the Head Boy, Head Girl and prefects, but also the entire house into better versions of themselves?e

• IC DUTIES

IC Duties include: (Please feel free to use these for plots!)

1. The head of the house is expected to be monitoring the safety and discipline of all members of their designated house to ensure no students are hurt. You should ensure no students are practicing any forbidden spells or potions in secret and watch out for troubled students.

2. You will be responsible for processing academic papers also consent forms from the students in your designated house.

3. You will also be expected to conduct career counselling meetings for students and offer them with both academic and mentoring advice about their future.

4. Your supervision of quidditch matches will be required to ensure your students' safety.

• HEADBOY AND HEADGIRL

As students, there are two roles they can apply for: Head Boy/Girl, or Prefects.
Head Boy/Girl (IC duties for your character to work and write with)


The Head Boy and Head Girl are required to be outstanding students, not just academic achievements wise but also their personality. They should be honest, trustworthy and firm when they have to be. As required by their positions, there may come a time when you have to deduct points from your own house to put them in their place or speak up against a close friend if they are breaking the rules. Will you? If you feel confident enough to shoulder these responsibilities, show us how.

• IC DUTY BENEFITS

IC Duties & Benefits include: (Please feel free to use these for plots!)

1. Being a leader and role model to the prefects and also the entire student body of their house. You will have to guide them when needed to, but never abuse your authority or use it as a trophy to flaunt. Any misuse of the position will result in your authority getting revoked immediately.

2. As a leader for the prefects, you will also be required to answer them if they have any questions or concerns.

3. You will have the privilege of being able to use the Prefect’s bathroom.

4. You are to assist with special events if required by professors.

5. You should apply if you have strong moral codes that you won't back down from, understand how to distinguish right from wrong and isn't afraid to speak up when lines are crossed.

6. You do not have to be a perfect before to be eligible for this role.

7. You will be allowed to take house points away from your own house and if you get the position, the Headmaster is trusting that you will do so if required. Again, do not abuse this authority of yours.

8. Have the patience and drive to constantly motivate and encourage your House.

9. The position is applicable for the 6th year to 7th year students only.

• PREFECT DUTIES

Prefects (IC duties for your character to work and write with)

As prefects, you are to help and assist both the Head of House and the Head Boy and Head Girl. If you're applying for this role, you should be responsible, pro-active and firm. Not just to keep your own house members in check, you also have to take care of younger students to make sure they are well taken care of alongside with other tasks. Are you confident enough to accept the challenge that comes with being a prefect?

• PREFECT BENEFITS INCLUDE

1. You will be allowed to take house points away from your own house and if you get the position, the Headmaster is trusting that you will do so if required. Do not abuse this authority of yours or strikes can be given.

2. The first year is quite possibly in your hands. You have to take up the role of being Student Leaders and ensure they settle into Hogwarts comfortably. Introduce them to their dormitories and answer any enquiries if needed to.

3. Never abuse your authority or use it as a trophy to flaunt. Any misuse of the position will result in your authority getting revoked immediately.

4. You are given detentions to your own house members if required.

5. You will have the privilege of being able to use the Prefect’s bathroom.

6. You will be required to patrol hallways to ensure no one breaks the curfew and are found wandering about.

7. The position is only applicable for 3rd year to 7th year students only.

8. You should apply if you have strong moral codes that you won't back down from, understand how to right from wrong and isn't afraid to speak up when lines are crossed.

• OOC DUTIES

To allow students to feel further involved with the school, prefects have additional OOC responsibilities that require members to tend to. Please only apply if you are confident and comfortable with these duties that would be your responsibilities OOC if chosen for the role.


OOC Duties include:

1. You are to add newcomers into the house chat once they are verified. If anyone has been unverified, please remove them from the house chat and keep your F/F clean so your house members can follow yours as an example.

2. Once chosen, you will be added into a group chat with the Headmaster and the other prefects. The chat will strictly tolerate no chit-chats but updates on inactive in your own house. The updates are only required once per week.

IC - Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry regulations

Note: This ruleset is purely for plotting and character development reference.

1. Students are not allowed to enter (or even approach) the forbidden forest at all costs without a faculty escort. However, a professor may choose to hand detention with a task to be accomplished within the forest (with supervision).

2. Students are not allowed to swim in nor boat on the black lake without a faculty escort as inhabitants of the lake can be very dangerous.
Students may not enter the dorms and common rooms of houses other than their own. Each common room has a protective measure in place to restrict access.

3. Students are to remain in their dorms or common rooms after 11:00pm. Only 5th years and above are allowed to roam the corridors until 12:00 midnight.

4. No magic is to be used in the corridors between classes nor during school holidays (especially not in the muggle world). However, students have the right to use magic to defend themselves or to respond to an emergency.

5. Decorum and good behavior shall be observed at all times. Snogging, shouting in the halls, vandalism, fighting, provoking peeves, disrespecting faculty members and such unpleasant behavior is strictly prohibited.

6. The only pets allowed are small pets (such as an owl, a cat, a rat, or a toad).

7. In order to get into the restricted section of the library, a student must present or hold a signed note of permission from a professor.
Only third year students and above are allowed to visit hogsmeade with a consent slip from their parent, guardian, or with the company of a professor.

8. All professors at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry are served the full right to hand out punishments as they see fit such as detentions and deduction of house points.

• DORM RULES

Visits are prohibited after 20:00All students must be at their respective dorm by 20:00Any unauthorized pet/creature will be confiscated and the students involved will receive a punishment/points deductionFor any changes in the dorms, you must have headmaster’s authorization as well as a valid reason.The dorms shall be kept clean and intact, dorm inspections will be held randomly.By 23:00 all students must be asleep. IC rules are just IC rules depending on your plot. If required, feel free to break them! Especially if your muse wants/need to for a story advancement

• OOC RULES

OOC - Animus Roleplay Regulations

1. Subscribing is a must but upvotes will be appreciated. Keep updated with us!

2. We are a 16+, semi-literate, alternate universe roleplay. This means that memes and emojis are to be at a strict minimum. Your face-claim is not an idol. We strongly discourage crack behaviour to avoid disruption of the hogwarts universe.

2. Only one account per soul! If you are caught with multiple accounts, this will result to an immediate sanction and prompt action by the staff.

3. Strict ic and ooc lines will be observed in the agency. Stay in-character at all times but place ooc tweets within brackets [] {} () //. Thus, absolutely do not mix ic and ooc.

4. Plotting and character development are highly encouraged especially on the timeline. So please ensure that you have thought about your character’s basic personality before applying.

5. The timeline is strictly 16+ sfw. All nsfw content and interactions must be kept private / dms only. Do avoid retweeting photos and updates about your face-claim’s real life as we are an au community.

6. Inactivity for 48 hours / two (2) days will result to unverification. A semi-hiatus may be availed for 2 weeks and a full hiatus for 3 weeks. You must tweet at least once in 5 days on either hiatus. Password: your favourite word.

7. All concerns of temporary and permanent character changes, hiatus, requests or suggestions may be messaged to the base’s dm only. We will do our best to help as fast as we can.

8. Failure to observe any of these rules may result to a warning or eventually, strikes. These will cost your house a deduction of points as will be seen on the agency’s carrd. The staff holds the authority to take measures as they see fit, so please bear every rule in mind before joining!

To promote and encourage students to behave at their best, the House Cup is held frequently. It is a vital award that will be given to the House with the most House Points every end of the month. Students will be able to find themselves earning points for their house by being on top of not just their studies, but learning attitude, behaviour and also through different competitions and games that will be hosted. If students are not careful, House Points can be taken away for misbehaving or rule-breaking.

For students to comprehend the Points System better, they may refer to the quick guide for points in general listed down below. Please note that the list below is not the only way to earn/lost points but an introduction to several examples.
